What are the IBAN, BIC and SWIFT codes?

• The IBAN code refers to the International Bank Account Number that you can use when making international payments.
• The BIC code (Bank Identifier Code) quickly and easily identifies the bank. The SWIFT code (or SWIFT BIC) is a code that helps foreign banks identify which bank should receive the money.
• The SWIFT code consists of 8 to 11 characters. The first 4 include the bank's name, the next 2 show the international country code, and the last 2 show the city code. If it is an 11-character code, the last 3 will refer to a specific branch of the bank.
